Larry Nucci is a Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in moral and social development. He focuses on children’s judgments regarding personal privacy, societal contexts (including Latin America and Asia), and integrating moral education into teacher training. His work emphasizes moral reasoning assessment and social justice pedagogy.
Education: Ph.D. in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz.
Research interests include adolescent development, moral reasoning across cultures, and the interplay between personal autonomy and societal norms. He advocates for constructivist approaches to parenting and classroom management to foster moral autonomy.
