Larisa Soldatova

Larisa Soldatova is Reader in Data Science at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she directs the online Masters in Data Science program. An internationally recognized expert in AI, she leads the EPSRC-funded ACTION project developing AI systems for personalized cancer treatment recommendations in partnership with University of Manchester.

Her research spans discovery science, knowledge representation, and semantic technologies. She contributes to the Robot Scientists project investigating automation of scientific discovery processes and human-robot collaboration. Soldatova develops semantic standards including Machine Learning Schema, Robotics Task Ontology Standard, and Laboratory Protocols EXACT.

Her recent publications focus on AI-driven hypothesis generation in cancer research, ontology engineering for food processing, and closed-loop AI systems for fundamental science. She applies machine learning and semantic technologies to challenges in biomedicine and scientific knowledge representation.
