معرفی
Dr. Larisa Broglie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she also serves as Clinical Director of the BMT and Cellular Therapy Immune Deficiency and Dysregulation Team. She is a member of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and holds leadership positions including Scientific Director of the Pediatric Cancer Working Committee and Institutional Primary Investigator for the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium.
Dr. Broglie's research focuses on hematopoietic cell transplantation outcomes, particularly for pediatric patients with non-malignant conditions including immune deficiencies, severe aplastic anemia, and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. Her work has significantly contributed to understanding comorbidity assessment using the Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Comorbidity Index (HCT-CI) in pediatric populations and developing evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of bone marrow failure disorders.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on transplant outcomes, immune dysregulation disorders, and evidence-based guidelines for aplastic anemia treatment. She has published extensively on the application of the HCT-CI in pediatric populations, outcomes in immune deficiency disorders following transplantation, and the development of clinical guidelines for severe aplastic anemia in children.
- 2016 James Casper Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant & Research Fellow
- 2017 Clinical Research Training Course Scholar, American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplant
- 2018 Department of Pediatrics Award for Best Fellowship Research Project and Presentation
Dr. Broglie actively mentors Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellows and undergraduate students in clinical research related to hematopoietic cell transplantation. She serves as Primary Investigator for multiple research protocols through the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium and is a Protocol Officer for several CIBMTR/PTCTC studies investigating novel transplantation approaches for immune deficiencies and bone marrow failure disorders.
Her laboratory and research team focus on analyzing registry data from the CIBMTR to improve outcomes for children undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation, with particular emphasis on immune deficiencies, severe aplastic anemia, and transplant complications.
