Dr. Lara Warmelink is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Lancaster University, affiliated with Security Lancaster. Her research focuses on deception detection, particularly analyzing verbal and non-verbal cues in lies about intentions. She employs diverse methodologies to explore decision-making processes and deceptive behavior across populations such as autistic adults and older adults vulnerable to digital scams.
Education: BSc Psychology (Leiden University, 2007), MPhil Cognitive Neuroscience (Leiden University, 2009), PhD Psychology (University of Portsmouth, 2012) on 'Lying about Intentions.'
