Dr. Lara Searcy is an Associate Professor and English Education Specialist at Northeastern State University (NSU) in Tahlequah, OK. She teaches English teacher candidates and holds offices in Wilson Hall 356. Previously, she was a Nationally Board Certified (NBCT AYA-ELA, 2011) high school English language arts teacher and middle school literacy resource specialist.

- MEd in Education, Northeastern State University (2009)
- BA in Education, Northeastern State University (2006)
Her research focuses on educator preparation, curriculum design for English education, and literacy strategies for secondary classrooms. She has received institutional recognition through NSU's Circle of Excellence in Teaching (2018) and Graduate Mentor Faculty awards (2022).
