Lara Santos

Lara Marisa Santos is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing and Strategy in 2019 from the University of Aveiro, University of Beira Interior, and University of Minho. Her research focuses on Social Sciences, particularly Economics, Management, and Tourism, with a specialization in crisis management, ecotourism, and sustainable development.

Her work includes studies on nonprofit organizations during crises, destination branding, and sustainable tourism practices, such as in the Tua Valley Regional Natural Park. Recent publications highlight virtual tourism, film-induced tourism, and green marketing strategies in hospitality. She has supervised five MSc dissertations and co-supervised three others.
