Lara R. Skinner is an Outreach Faculty member and Executive Director of the Climate Jobs Institute at Cornell University's ILR School. Her work focuses on labor and employment impacts of climate change, clean energy policy, and equitable low-carbon economy transitions. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.

Research Interests: Lara specializes in designing jobs-led climate programs, union and equity-centered climate agendas, and cross-sector coalitions. Her work spans policy development, labor advocacy, and sustainable energy transitions in states like New York, Texas, and Illinois. She emphasizes equitable outcomes for workers in the clean energy economy.

Advising & Grants: Lara has advised over 100 students and secured funding from entities like Breakthrough Energy. She co-leads the Climate Jobs 2050 Committee and serves on NYS Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) Just Transition Working Group.
