He investigates the dialectics of modernity, inspired by Walter Benjamin’s Arcades Project, and explores thermal imaging, 3D scanning, and alternative visualization techniques. He collaborates with the Center for Historic Architecture and Design on digitizing vernacular structures and with Simone Jones on robotic projections exhibited internationally.
Winn has published essays for major exhibitions including Reproduction at Lemberg Gallery and curated InWords at UD Galleries. He’s been nominated for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award and his work appears in prominent international exhibitions like Nuit Blanche and Media City Festival. His academic contributions include co-editing the Spaces of Shopping book and leading colloquia on post-colonial art practices.
His research integrates cutting-edge digital methods with critical art theory, focusing on how technology mediates material and spatial expression. Current projects include large-scale 3D modeling outputs and collaborations with engineering teams to create immersive robotic installations.
