Lalitha M Vasudevan is a Professor of Technology and Education, Vice Dean for Digital Innovation, and Managing Director of the Teachers College Digital Futures Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University. She also directs the Media and Social Change Lab and holds affiliations with the Mathematics, Science & Technology department.
Educational Background:

Vasudevan’s research focuses on adolescent literacies, media literacy, multimodal storytelling, and the anthropology of education. She explores how youth use digital and embodied practices to construct identities and challenge systemic inequities.

- Minority Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Teachers College (2004-2005)
Her recent work examines gun violence prevention in schools, collaborative filmmaking, and multimodal inquiry methodologies. She advocates for reimagining educational spaces to center youth voices and integrate technology for social change.
