Lalitha Devarakonda

Lalitha Devarakonda is an Adjunct Professor in the Power Systems Engineering Program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where she teaches courses on Power System Protection. Concurrently, she serves as Substation Technical Lead Engineer at Eversource Energy, managing high/medium voltage substation equipment testing, commissioning, and remote monitoring systems.

Dr. Devarakonda holds an M.Sc. from Louisiana State University (LA) and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts (MA). Her doctoral research focused on developing novel analytical methods for battery modeling, bridging energy storage systems with power grid applications.

Her professional expertise spans substation instrumentation, grid reliability engineering, and advanced power system analysis techniques. She actively integrates industry challenges into her academic instruction to enhance practical learning outcomes for graduate students.
