Laima Karosas

Laima Karosas serves as Clinical Professor of Nursing and Chair of Graduate Nursing Programs at Quinnipiac University School of Nursing, where she has held faculty positions since 2002. Certified as both an Adult Nurse Practitioner (1992) and Family Nurse Practitioner (1998), she is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has held significant leadership roles including Connecticut state representative for AANP, Region 1 Director on the AANP Board of Directors, and President of the Connecticut Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Society.

Professor Karosas' research integrates advanced practice nursing with global health initiatives, focusing on nursing perception studies in Lithuania, spiritual care in oncology, and standardization of outcome language. Her expertise in qualitative research methods and quality improvement has driven international collaborations with Lithuanian Health Sciences University, while her health policy work was instrumental in eliminating written collaborative agreements for advanced practice nurses in Connecticut. She maintains active engagement in nursing education reform and global practice standards.
