Research Interests: Dr. HAS focuses on clinical periodontics, with expertise in treating gingival recession using advanced surgical techniques such as the modified coronally advanced tunnel. Her research also explores the intersection of systemic conditions (like polycystic ovary syndrome) and oral health, particularly drug-induced gingival overgrowth. Additionally, she investigates the etiology and management of dental implant failures and the internal fit of dental restorations.
Publication Trends: Her scholarly output (2021-2024) demonstrates a strong emphasis on periodontal surgery and its intersections with prosthodontics and systemic health. Key contributions include innovative approaches to root coverage, analysis of hormonal impacts on gingiva, and material science applications in restorative dentistry. Her work bridges clinical practice with research to improve patient outcomes in complex periodontal cases.
Grants and Projects: Dr. HAS led the TÜBA and TÜBİTAK-funded project "Comparison of Internal Fits of Restorations Produced with Different Materials and Techniques" (2021) as principal investigator, addressing critical aspects of dental restoration accuracy.
