LIU Chang

Dr. LIU Chang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), affiliated with the College of Design and Engineering. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a PhD from the University of Hong Kong, followed by postdoctoral research at MIT under Professors Xuanhe Zhao and Nicholas X. Fang.

Her research focuses on intelligent soft materials and green energy devices, with emphasis on energy harvesting, energy saving, and water harvesting applications. Key areas include perovskite solar cells, photovoltaic materials, and advanced thin-film technologies. Her work has resulted in 22 peer-reviewed publications in top journals like Joule and Nature Communications, accumulating over 1,000 citations.

Dr. Liu’s recent publications (2022–2025) highlight advancements in perovskite-based photovoltaics, tandem solar cell designs, and material stability solutions. These studies address challenges in efficiency, environmental stability, and device architecture optimization. Her research bridges computational modeling, material synthesis, and device engineering to advance sustainable energy systems.
