LIOW Chee Hsiang is an Associate Professor and Vice Dean (Education) at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), National University of Singapore (NUS). He holds academic roles spanning Associate Professor (since 2022), Senior Lecturer (2017–2022), and Adjunct Senior Lecturer (2016–2017). His expertise lies in global health implementation research, particularly in HIV/AIDS programs and program design, monitoring, and evaluation.
Education: Master of Medicine (Public Health) from NUS (2005) and Bachelor of Medicine from The University of Newcastle, Australia (1997). Awards include the Australia China Alumni Award for Research and Innovation (2014).
Professional activities include serving on the Research Advisory Panel for the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS), as an Advisor to Lien AID (focusing on applied research and M&E), and as a Board Member of Bless China International. Previously, he held leadership roles in Bless China International (2002–2016) and was a Medical Officer with SingHealth (1997–2002).
His research interests emphasize translating evidence into actionable public health strategies, with a focus on global health equity and infectious disease control. He contributes to SSHSPH’s multidisciplinary initiatives in health systems strengthening and epidemiological research.
