معرفی
L J Hill is a Professor of Translational Neuroscience at the Biomedical Sciences Healthcare Technologies Institute. Their research focuses on ocular inflammatory and scarring diseases, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), drug delivery systems, and biomedical materials.
- Current Projects: West Midland Initiative for Neurodegeneration (We-MIND), Drug-Device Combination to image immune cell function with Indocyanine Green Dye, GLP-1 therapy for neurodegenerative disease, Decorin mRNA therapy for dry AMD, and ocular glymphatic clearance pathway studies.
Hill’s work spans neuroscience, ophthalmology, and biomedical engineering, with recent publications on TGF-β1 effects in stroke models, autophagy in AMD, and MRI applications in mTBI. They actively collaborate on neurovascular disorders and ocular drug delivery.
Research Trends: Analysis of 62 total outputs shows a focus on ocular fibrosis, anti-fibrotic agents, inflammation, and imaging technologies for neurodegenerative conditions. Key collaborations involve institutions studying nicotinamide, trabecular meshwork, and transforming growth factor-β.
