Kübra Kısa is a Lecturer and Scientific Associate at the Chair of Islamic History and Contemporary Culture within the Center for Islamic Theology at the University of Tübingen. She serves as Assistant at the Chair, Chair of the Doctoral Convention, and Representative of academic staff in the Center Council. Her office is located at Liebermeisterstraße 18, Tübingen.
She holds a Master's degree (2016-2019) and Bachelor's degree (2012-2016) in Islamic Theology from the University of Tübingen, with international experience including semester abroad programs at SOAS London and 29 Mayıs University Istanbul.
Her research explores Islam in Southeast Europe, Ottoman imperial history, palaeography, and Islamic mysticism, with emphasis on cultural intersections between Muslim communities and European contexts. Her publications reflect deep engagement with Ottoman theological texts, Sufi poetry translations, and contemporary Islamic discourse.
Professional activities include leadership roles in cultural projects: Currently, she contributes to the 'Islamic Counseling in Bavaria' initiative at the Eugen Biser Foundation (since 2023). Previously, she managed the Sultan Ahmet Mosque library project (2020-2021) and coordinated the TAMAM project for Berlin's Museum of Islamic Art (2019-2020).
Teaching encompasses courses on Ottoman Turkish language, Islamic ethics through classical texts, mysticism, and interreligious dialogue, including co-taught modules on Jewish-Christian-Muslim trialogues.
