Kyoung Hoon Kim serves as an Associate Professor at Seoul National University in the Republic of Korea. He visited the Institute of Biological, Environmental, and Rural Sciences (IBERS) at Aberystwyth University from June 19 to 21, 2018, as an academic visitor hosted by Dr. J. Moorby to advance research collaborations.
His research expertise spans Animal Science and Environmental Science, with specialized focus on quantifying methane emissions from ruminant livestock including sheep and cattle. This work addresses critical intersections of agricultural practices and climate change, contributing to sustainable farming methodologies through precise greenhouse gas measurement techniques.
During his visit, discussions emphasized methodological approaches for methane assessment and identified pathways for future international research partnerships in environmental sustainability.
