Kyle Hyndman is a Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), affiliated with the Jindal School of Management (JSOM). His primary roles include teaching advanced courses such as MECO 6303 (Business Economics), MECO 6345 (Advanced Managerial Economics), and FIN 6330 (Behavioral Finance). His research focuses on experimental economics, particularly in auctions, bargaining, coordination, and belief formation, alongside behavioral operations management. He has been recognized with the Best Reviewer Award from Production and Operations Management in 2012.
Hyndman holds a BA from the University of Alberta (2000), an MA (2004), and a PhD (2006) in Economics from New York University. His research explores topics such as supply chain dynamics, trust in lending, competitive environments, and fairness in ultimatum bargaining. He has contributed extensively to journals in operations management, experimental economics, and behavioral decision-making.
His recent work includes studies on late payments in procurement, execution failures in retail supply chains, and the behavioral implications of product proliferation. Hyndman is an active member of professional organizations such as the Econometric Society, Economic Science Association, and INFORMS. His research often bridges theoretical models with empirical experiments, emphasizing practical applications in managerial and operational contexts.
