Kyle Beardsley

Kyle Beardsley is a Professor of Political Science at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, serving as Director of the Triangle Institute of Security Studies (TISS) and co-director of the International Crisis Behavior (ICB) data project. He holds additional roles as Director of Graduate Studies for the Department of Political Science's MA program and an affiliate of the Sanford School of Public Policy's Duke Center for International Development. With a Ph.D. from UC San Diego (2006), his research focuses on quantitative analysis of international conflict dynamics, third-party mediation roles, and the intersection of conflict with gender and ethnic hierarchies. His work emphasizes network analysis of conflict/cooperation interdependence and nuclear weapons' impact on crisis behavior.
