Kwong Loke serves as a Senior Lecturer in Liberal Arts at Regent's University London with 14 years of teaching experience. An accomplished actor and director, he has performed at major venues including the National Theatre, West End (Noel Coward Theatre), Royal Court, and Arcola, and appeared in productions for BBC, ITV, HBO, and Disney+. He co-founded Yellow Earth Theatre dedicated to East Asian theatre writing.
His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (2018) from Regent’s University London, a Diploma in Acting (1990) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and an MA in Drama and Theatre Studies (1995) from Royal Holloway, University of London. His MA research focused on classical Asian and Greek theatre forms.
Loke's research examines cross-cultural theatre practices through five core areas: Shakespeare in global contexts, innovative directing methodologies, international staging influences, transnational playwriting/translation, and holistic actor training integrating mind-body-spirit engagement. His work emphasizes physicality and creative imagination for international practitioners.

His research has received significant funding including $12,000 from the Fox Foundation for Balinese mask training in Bali, £10,000 from Arts Council England for directing work with Birmingham Rep and Hampstead Theatre, and £3,500 from Regent's University London for Stanislavski/Chekhov training with Moscow Art Theatre. He regularly conducts directing/acting workshops across London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.
Loke co-founded Yellow Earth Theatre and ran StoneCrabs Theatre, maintaining active partnerships with drama conservatories globally including Rose Bruford College, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Tokyo's Caramel Box Theatre, and KL Performing Arts Centre.
