Kwok Yan Chiu is a sixth-year economics Ph.D. candidate at Northwestern University (expected graduation: 2025) and will join the University of Mannheim as a Postdoctoral Researcher (Researcher) in August 2025. His work bridges macroeconomics, finance, and housing economics through the lens of household heterogeneity and micro-level expectation data.

His research focuses on how heterogeneous beliefs about stock returns drive wealth inequality, the relationship between household expectations and macroeconomic dynamics, and the impact of credit access on housing quality. He develops computational methods for solving incomplete information general equilibrium models using sequence space approaches.
