Kurtis Schaffer is the Frances Myers Ball Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia. His work focuses on Buddhist studies, particularly Tibetan and Himalayan traditions, with a strong emphasis on historical and literary analysis.
