Kurt Russell is a Lecturer in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, part of the McKelvey School of Engineering. He joined the faculty in July 2023 after completing his PhD at Purdue University. His research focuses on catalyst characterization using advanced techniques like X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction at Argonne and Brookhaven National Labs. He specializes in integrating practical engineering concepts into teaching to maximize student engagement.
