Kurt Anstreicher is a Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business, with complementary appointments in the Department of Computer Science and Department of Industrial Engineering. He holds the Gary C. Fethke Chair in Leadership. His research focuses on mathematical programming, optimization, interior-point algorithms, and nonlinear programming. Anstreicher earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1983 and a B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1978.
Research interests include optimization theory and methods, particularly in nonconvex programming, convex relaxations, and algorithm design. His work addresses challenges in quadratic programming, semidefinite optimization, and global optimization techniques.
