Kubra Cabuk

Kubra Cabuk serves as Assistant Professor of Psychology at Central Connecticut State University's Department of Psychological Science within the School of Psychology. Her academic journey includes a BA in Counseling Psychology from Bogazici University (2019), MA in Clinical Psychology from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (2021), and PhD in Applied Psychology & Prevention Science from University of Massachusetts Lowell (2025).

Her research program spans three interconnected domains: Healthcare Utilization examining medical discrimination and patient-provider relationships among Muslim Americans; Discrimination & Health analyzing longitudinal physical health impacts through SWAN data; and Intersectionality & Wellbeing investigating how intersecting identities affect health outcomes. Methodologically, she employs mixed approaches including latent profile analysis, multilevel modeling, and thematic analysis with strong health equity focus.

Her publication portfolio demonstrates rapid scholarly impact across high-impact venues including Ethnicity & Health and Health Affairs Forefront, with multiple manuscripts under review or in progress. Current work emphasizes intersectional discrimination measurement and Muslim women's healthcare navigation.
