Kuba Piwowar

Dr. Kuba Piwowar is a researcher at the Institute of Humanities and a member of the Center for Cultural Technology Research at SWPS University in Warsaw. He holds a PhD in Cultural Sciences and is a sociologist by training.

His book Technologies That Exclude: Measurement, Data, Algorithms (2022) explores discriminatory practices in digital technologies, analyzing how algorithms perpetuate marginalization through data disparities. The work builds on his doctoral dissertation and four years of research.

He is involved in projects like Data Literacy and Activism and participates in initiatives through the Artificial Intelligence Research Club at SWPS University.
