Krzysztof Balcerowiak

Krzysztof Balcerowiak is a Polish artist, graphic designer, and academic at the University of Arts in Poznań, serving as a Professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Visual Communication. Since 2022, he has headed the Offset Studio under Prof. Grzegorz Nowicki, with extensive teaching experience including roles as assistant professor (2009–2019) and various assistant positions dating back to 2002.

His artistic research focuses on "the object in graphic art", blending traditional printmaking with three-dimensional elements. Works like Domini Canes (2019) critically examine religious symbolism, while East West (2018) explores cross-cultural perceptions through print-object hybrids.

Exhibition history spans international projects including the 100th Anniversary of the Bunt Expressionist Group (2019) and International Print Triennials in Kraków (2018). Techniques range from offset printing and serigraphy to innovative combinations with objects and installations.

Active in academic workshops and conferences, Balcerowiak has contributed to major Polish exhibitions such as NEW EXPRESSIONS / MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF ŁÓDŹ and District Museum Bydgoszcz projects, demonstrating sustained engagement with contemporary graphic art discourse.
