Krystyna Aune is a Professor of Communicology at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and serves as Program Director for the COMG (Communicology) program. With a career spanning over 31 years at the university, she has held diverse administrative roles, including Dean of Graduate Division, before returning to her academic home. Her research focuses on emotions in relationships, adult play, and interpersonal communication dynamics.

Aune’s work explores how individuals express and manage emotions through surveys, diaries, and laboratory experiments.
