Associate Professor Krkoleva Mateska Aleksandra is affiliated with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT) at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, where she holds a position within the Department of Electric Power Systems and is part of the Institute for Transmission Power Systems. Her research focuses on smart grids, renewable energy integration, power system resilience, and environmental impact analysis. She actively contributes to the development of energy policies aligned with EU frameworks and explores the intersection of technology and sustainability through data-driven methodologies.
Her work emphasizes cross-border electricity market integration, demand-side management, and the optimization of energy systems. Notable research areas include air quality modeling using machine learning, the effects of meteorological factors on pollution mitigation, and the implementation of green infrastructure. She has also investigated challenges in Southeast Europe’s energy sectors, cybersecurity in power systems, and the integration of renewable energy sources into existing grids.
