Kristyan Sarkis (1985, Beirut, Lebanon) is an independent graphic and type designer based in Amsterdam, partner at TPTQ Arabic, and lecturer at TypeMedia (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague). He holds a BA in Graphic Design and a Master of Design in Type and Media from KABK (2010). His work focuses on Arabic typography, type design, and interdisciplinary design research.
- Collaborated with Peter Biľak on Greta Text Arabic (2017)
- Developed Arabic typeface for Louvre Abu Dhabi museum
- Contributed to Typotheque's publications on Arabic typography
He has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University - Qatar (2009), Lebanese American University (2014), and has been a guest lecturer at TypeMedia since 2015. His clients include HW/Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Philippe Apeloig, and typographies.fr.
