Kristy McRaney

Dr. Kristy McRaney is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of the USM Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) at the University of Southern Mississippi. She specializes in psychological evaluation and treatment of clinical mental health conditions in children, with expertise in autism, developmental delays, and childhood trauma. Her affiliations include the Mississippi Psychological Association (MPA), Association of Psychology Training Clinics, and American Psychological Association.

Education: B.A. in Psychology (University of Memphis, 2011); M.A. (2013) and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (USM, 2016). Postdoctoral training completed at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in child psychological assessment.

Research interests focus on child clinical psychology, trauma interventions, and developmental disorders. She has received significant recognition including MPA's 2022 Early Career Award and 2024 Kinloch Gill Award. Professional service roles include MPA Region 3 Representative and affiliation with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
