Dr. Kristy Marie McAndrew serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University. Her research focuses on forest health, with specialization in forest entomology and the ecological impacts of climate change on native forest insect populations.
- Education: B.S. in Forestry and Fisheries & Wildlife from the University of Missouri, and M.S. and Ph.D. from Mississippi State University in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology, and Plant Pathology (now Agricultural Science and Plant Protection).
Dr. McAndrew teaches ecology and forest health-related courses. Her work addresses critical intersections between insect ecology and environmental stressors affecting forest ecosystems.
