Kristine Tidgren

Kristine Tidgren holds the position of Dolezal Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Education & Studies at Iowa State University (ISU), and serves as Director of the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation (CALT). She specializes in agricultural taxation and legal interpretation, providing critical insights to tax professionals, attorneys, producers, and agribusiness entities. Her work includes authoring extensive publications, including articles for the National Income Tax Workbook and farm-focused media, alongside delivering seminars and federal tax school instruction through CALT.

Dr. Tidgren earned her J.D. (Order of the Coif) from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Journalism from ISU. Licensed to practice law in Iowa and Missouri, she actively collaborates with national organizations such as the American Agricultural Law Association and the Rural Tax Education Committee. She teaches AgEds 451, an upper-level agricultural law course, and previously worked in legal publishing and private practice.

Her research and outreach emphasize practical legal and tax education for agricultural stakeholders, with a focus on regulatory compliance and policy developments. She regularly engages with producers and professionals through speaking engagements and collaborative projects.
