Kristine A. Huskey is a Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Veterans' Advocacy Law Clinic at the James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona. She also directs the overall clinical programs at the law school. Her career spans academia, policy, and legal practice focusing on national security, human rights, and veterans' issues. Prior roles include founding director of the National Security Clinic at the University of Texas School of Law and adjunct professorships at Georgetown University and George Washington University.

Dr. Huskey's research interests center on veterans' legal advocacy, international human rights, national security law, and restorative justice. She has authored works on Guantanamo detainee rights, veterans treatment courts, and accountability for private military contractors. Her 2009 book Justice at Guantanamo chronicles her legal battles against U.S. detention policies post-9/11.
Awards: 2020 Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Copper Sword Award for non-veteran contributions to military/veteran welfare.
Advising & Initiatives: Mentored global women in international law through the American Society of International Law's Women in International Law program. Created the 'Human Rights Coffee Corner' during the pandemic to connect students with global practitioners.
Clinics & Affiliations: Leads the Veterans' Advocacy Law Clinic, providing legal services to veterans. Previously directed the National Security Clinic and worked with Physicians for Human Rights' Anti-Torture Program.
