Kristina Peranidze is a Ph.D. student in Polymer, Fiber, and Textile Sciences at the University of Georgia, affiliated with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors department. Her research focuses on developing tunable fibers and biocompatible composites for biomedical applications.

Recent publications highlight her work in calcium-based bioceramics, hydrogel composites, and electrospun scaffolds, with a focus on fiber technology for biomedical applications. Collaborators include Dr. Gajanan Bhat, Dr. Sergiy Minko, Dr. Vladimir Reukov, and Dr. Elizabeth Brisbois.
