Kristina Meichner is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology in the Department of Pathology at the College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds dual Diplomate certifications: American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) since 2016 and European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA) in Medical Oncology since 2014. Her research focuses on hematopathology, clinical immunology, and flow cytometry applications in veterinary diagnostics.
Dr. Meichner’s educational background includes a DVM from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (2003) and advanced training in veterinary pathology and oncology. She currently serves on the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ASVCP) Program Committee and as a Scientific Editor for The Veterinary Journal.
Her publications emphasize comparative oncology, molecular pathology, and diagnostic guidelines, reflecting her expertise in bridging clinical and research practices. Notable contributions include studies on canine leukemia, neurologic diagnostics, and environmental toxin impacts on aquatic species.
