Kristina Hahn

Dr. Kristina Hahn serves as a Lecturer for German Culture, Politics & Society at Munich Business School, teaching in the Undergraduate Exchange Semester program.

Her educational background includes studies in English, German as a Foreign Language, Historical-Comparative Linguistics, Slavic Studies, and Intercultural Communication at the University of Rostock and University of California, Irvine, where she earned her doctorate in Media Linguistics.

Dr. Hahn's research interests focus on Intercultural Communication, German Language and Culture, Media Linguistics, and Journalism Studies. Her work explores the intersection of language, culture, and media, with particular attention to historical development of journalistic practices and linguistic phenomena. She also specializes in Foreign Language Training (particularly German as a Foreign Language, English, and Russian), Emotional Intelligence, and Team Building for multi-cultural and virtual teams.

Dr. Hahn has published extensively on media linguistics and journalism history, with her research spanning from prototype theory in semantics to the evolution of newspaper headlines and popular journalism in England. Her scholarly work combines historical analysis with linguistic methodology to understand media discourse development.

With over 15 years of professional experience, Dr. Hahn has successfully worked as a trainer and coach in intercultural training, foreign language instruction, personal development, emotional intelligence, team building, and work-life balance. Prior to her current position, she founded Cross-Cultural Coaching in Munich after six years of university teaching.

Outside academia, Dr. Hahn is a passionate yoga teacher, integrating physical wellness with professional development through business yoga practices.
