Kristin Wiksell is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg's Department of Sociology and Work Science. She teaches and supervises students in sociology, work science, and human resource management. Since 2024, she has been the program coordinator for the interdisciplinary Human Resource Management bachelor's program, which integrates sociology, psychology, education, business administration, and law.
Her research focuses on social relations, power dynamics, resistance, and civil society, with a particular emphasis on worker cooperatives as agents of social change. She earned her PhD in sociology from Karlstad University in 2021 with a dissertation titled Organizing for Social Change: Worker Cooperatives in Capitalist Contexts.
Her publications explore themes such as constructive resistance, moral ambivalence in cultural expressions, and sustainability in cooperative models. She contributes to journals like Current Sociology and Journal of Political Power, addressing topics ranging from anti-capitalist strategies to knowledge production in resistance movements.
No scientific awards are listed, but her work demonstrates significant scholarly engagement with social justice and organizational innovation. She advises students at both bachelor’s and master’s levels and actively participates in collaborative research projects.
