Kristin V Stephens-Martinez is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Computer Science at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. She also serves as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Computer Science since 2024.
Her research focuses on the intersection of education and computer science, particularly on scaling classroom quality through data-driven insights from course tools. Key areas include resource utilization in computing education, help-seeking behavior analysis, and learning analytics.
Recent publications examine student help-seeking trends, sequential resource selection patterns, and dynamic resource landscapes in CS education. Current NSF grants address academic help success, relational query debugging, and peer teaching effectiveness in computing pathways.
