Kristin Stack is an Assistant Professor in the Accounting department at the University of Kansas School of Business. She is based in Capitol Federal Hall, Room 4138, and can be contacted at kristin.stack@ku.edu.

Her research focuses on corporate governance, financial misreporting, executive compensation, and the interplay between top management team characteristics and enterprise risk management. She explores how organizational structures and risk mitigation practices influence financial reporting accuracy and strategic decision-making.
Kristin’s teaching interests include Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting, reflecting her commitment to foundational business education. Her work spans empirical studies on auditing dynamics (e.g., auditor tenure effects) and case studies on corporate innovation strategies like Haier’s customer-centric model.
