Kristin Gilbert

Dr. Kristin Gilbert is a psychological psychotherapist and Research Fellow at Philipps University of Marburg's Department of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, where she heads the Outpatient Clinic for Families with Stress (KJ-PAM). She maintains a private psychotherapy practice alongside her academic position.

Her research focuses on two primary domains:

• Mental health interventions for children of mentally ill parents
• Therapeutic approaches for families experiencing significant stress

Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on evidence-based interventions in clinical psychology, particularly regarding family systems, relationship stressors, and preventive mental healthcare.

She has contributed to major research projects including the BMBF-funded COMPARE study, a multicenter randomized controlled trial examining preventive interventions for children with mentally ill parents.
