Kristen R. Humphrey is a Professor in the School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences at Pittsburg State University. Her research focuses on disability services, foster care systems, and military sexual trauma interventions, with additional work on multicultural social work practice.
She investigates service access barriers for vulnerable populations and develops models for family support systems. Recent projects examine mental health service utilization among military sexual trauma survivors and undocumented immigrant needs assessment.
Publications include policy analyses and practice guidelines for child welfare systems. Faculty advisor roles include Natural Ties and Phi Alpha Honor Society.
