Kristen Fichthorn is the Merrell R. Fenske Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on atomistic simulations, quantum mechanics, and condensed-matter theory to study materials interfaces, with emphasis on thin-film epitaxy, nanoscale material growth, and multi-scale simulation of materials.
