Kristal M. Cloft serves as Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Hartford, holding dual appointments across the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. She has maintained continuous teaching service within the university since 2008.
Her academic credentials include:
- Master of Arts in Education
- PhD in Curriculum and Instruction (in progress) with specialization in higher education mathematics
Dr. Cloft's scholarly work centers on transformative approaches to mathematics pedagogy at the collegiate level. Her research examines curriculum design frameworks, instructional innovation, and evidence-based teaching practices specifically tailored for undergraduate mathematics education. She actively explores how contextualized learning experiences impact student engagement and mastery of mathematical concepts.
