Graz University of Technologyمعرفی
Krijn de Jong is a Full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis at Utrecht University, The Netherlands, since 1997. He has held significant roles including Vice-Head of the Department of Chemistry (2015–present) and Board member of the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science. Additionally, he has served on BP’s Technology Advisory Council (2012–present) and held leadership roles in research and education.
- PhD in Chemistry – cum laude (highest honor, ~10% of students) – 1982
- Master Degree in Chemistry – cum laude (highest honor, ~10% of students) – 1978
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry – cum laude (highest honor, ~5% of students) – 1976
His research focuses on nanostructured materials for energy and environmental applications, including hydrogen storage and CO2 capture. He investigates catalytic processes for hydrocarbon transformations and biomass conversion, contributing to sustainable chemical technologies.
Key scientific awards include the François Gault Lectureship Award (2017), ERC Advanced Grant (2013), and Shell Patent Awards (1991, 1987). He has also received recognition for teaching excellence at Utrecht University (2010, 2005).
