معرفی
Natacha Kremer is a Professor at Université de Lyon, affiliated with the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology within the College of Science. Her research focuses on evolutionary perspectives of symbiosis, particularly molecular interactions between hosts and microbes. She leads projects on bed bug symbiosis with Wolbachia, aiming to disrupt symbiotic associations for pest control. Her work integrates transcriptomics, metabolomics, and microscopy to study symbiotic mechanisms under environmental stress.
Funded by ANR and regional grants, her research includes collaborations with BF2i, IZInnovation, and LECA. Notable projects involve symbiotic resistance in Drosophila and triatomine insects. Her HDR (2023) highlights expertise in symbiotic systems. Students include Marius Poulain and Raphaël Jorge, working on bed bug-Wolbachia interactions.
Publications span symbiont dynamics, host immunity, and evolutionary genomics. Key themes include symbiotic dependency mechanisms, stress responses, and ecological impacts of microbial partnerships. She has advised on pesticide resistance strategies and alternative pest control methods targeting symbiotic relationships.
