Koustab Majumdar is a Research Fellow at the Division of Rural and Tribal Development, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) in Ranchi, India. He previously held a Visiting Scholar (Post-Doc) position at the International Center for Cultural Studies (ICSS), National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in Taiwan. His academic credentials include MPhil and PhD degrees.
- Research Interests: Rural Transformation, Social Work Education, International Social Work, Poverty and Inequality, Social Policy, Social Problems and Social Change
- Key Achievements: Recipient of the prestigious Taiwan Fellowship (2023) and Chula Right Livelihood Summer School scholarship (2019)
- Publications: Contributing to forthcoming books including "Indigenization Discourse in Social Work: International Perspectives" (Springer Cham) and collaborating on projects with Routledge, Springer, and Oxford University Press
