Koulis Pericleous

Professor Koulis Pericleous holds the Chair in Computational Fluid Dynamics at the University of Greenwich's School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. With over 300 publications, his research spans multi-physics simulations in metallurgy, aerospace, and energy systems. Prior to joining academia in 1989, he led consultancy at CFD pioneer CHAM Ltd and contributed to PHOENICS software development.

Research focuses on magnetohydrodynamics for liquid metals, ultrasonic cavitation, alloy solidification, and reactive flows. Current projects examine contactless ultrasonic processing for metal refinement and thermoelectric magnetohydrodynamics in additive manufacturing.

Industrial collaborations include ArcelorMittal, Rolls-Royce, and Rio Tinto. Recent publications address microstructure evolution modeling, cavitation physics, and aluminum processing innovations.
