Takata's work examines how cultural heritage, nostalgia, and authentic experiences influence tourist behavior and destination loyalty. His studies often employ mixed-method approaches, combining survey research with theoretical frameworks from tourism and sport management.
Analyzing Takata's publication record reveals a consistent focus on authenticity in sport tourism contexts, with particular attention to Japanese traditional sports like sumo wrestling.
