Kostas Smoriginas is a Lecturer at the Singing Department of Vytautas Magnus University (VDU). Born on August 2, 1980, in Vilnius, he is a Lithuanian bass-baritone singer with an international career spanning opera, symphonic works, and music festivals.
- Educated at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2005) and Royal College of Music (2005–07)
- Internship at Jette's Parker Young Performers Program (Covent Garden Theatre, 2007–09)
- Debuted at Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (2010) and La Scala (2012)
His research and artistic focus centers on vocal performance, opera interpretation, and symphonic singing traditions. Key roles include Scarpia in Tosca, Onegin in Eugene Onegin, and Escamilla in Carmen.
Smoriginas received the Golden Stage Cross award in 2024 for his role as Amonasro in Aida. He remains a soloist with Vilnius City Opera since 2012 and has performed across Europe, the U.S., Venezuela, and China.
